Norsemen RC news — SGP1

 SPG1 Round 3 happened last weekend. Track changed to more flowing, open layout that was slightly faster. Testing was a bit difficult coming into the weekend due to very high traction causing rollovers from the previous layout. If you changed your setup to deal with this, then in the morning you had to switch back to a more forgiving one to take advantage of the lower traction.  This round saw a change to the qualifying procedure. Norsemen are doing great being on top after two rounds, other fury drivers are doing good as well with 5 in the top ten! 

The day started off a little stressful as we had to test motors, wire and install ESCs, and break in new tires.  Martin and Lory used standard setups with typical Norsemen option parts. Bob was testing prototype parts that stiffened the chassis flex. After an hour of practice, the tires came in and the team was ready for qualifying. Bob immediately realized the chassis flex was too stiff and modified his setup to try to deal with the front diving in too hard and causing oversteer in and out of the corners. Martin TQ’ed with only a handful of laps....

Sign-ups have started for the SGP1 series that will begin with the first race in the end of October. So far 16 teams and around 50 drivers signed up. We are very happy to see that about 1/3 of the drivers will be using the Fury kit!  Exiting!
